I’m Back!!

The enemy can't hold me down!

The enemy can’t hold me down!

Its been a LOOOONNNNGGG time!!

I went on an amazing holiday to Jamaica back in December last year, i returned January of this year and it seemed like Satan just wanted to turn my world upside down.. 😦

I was meant to have a kitchen fitted whilst i was gone but i came home to an undone and upside down home, also with me being self employed funds where low as i had been away, and to top it off i had a problem with a finger on my hand which the doctors where thinking may be Arthritis!! It was just one thing after the other and at times like this i don’t really like to share, i prefer to withdraw within myself… I hate walking around pretending to smile when inside i’m crying, and theres no way i’m going to walk around with a frown on my face, so i just tend to hibernate away from everyone…

But then when i finally came out of my hole (lol) and attended Church i received an amazing word from God…

The sermon Topic was : When you reach the end of your rope… Reading from 2 Kings 4:1-7..

“1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”

5 So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. 6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased.

7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.” (NKJV)

Wow…. This teaching showed me that God can move in unimaginable ways… Even when we think there is no other way to turn God already has it planned out for us! When you trust in God, don’t worry where you fall. No matter where you are he’ll pick you up. When you trust in God he will ALWAYS come through for you. Its always that moment when you are about to give up, that he shows up and shows out!

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. 6 Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

7 And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation”

No matter what you are going through, God is our comforter and will always see us through… Our biggest problem is that we don’t actually trust him enough! We have to trust him in EVERY aspect of life. When you reach the end of your rope, turn to God, but don’t wait until then to turn to him, make sure he is on the rope with you, so he’s always holding you up…

Forgiving From The Heart

forgive

“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from the heart…” Matthew 18:35

So i was reading Matthew the other day and this verse stood out to me… How do you forgive from the heart?

I can honestly say Forgiveness is one of the hardest things in the world to do. Before i was saved forgiveness was just not an option for some of my ‘enemies’ or people i no longer spoke to…. The pain and hurt they caused me, why would i want to forgive them? I remember it got to the point where seeing them, hearing/seeing their name, or anything that associated with them would make my blood boil… My heart would race and this sense of anger would just come over me that reminding me of the hatred i had towards them!

But isn’t Gods grace amazing??? 🙂

Since becoming saved I finally understand what true forgiveness is. Unforgiveness is like a disease, its toxic, its damaging, and the only person it hurts is YOU!! All the negative feelings that you have towards that person does not affect them one bit. Forgiveness is not an option, its required for your salvation, It is also not possible to forgive on your own, the foundation of Forgiveness comes from Grace….

Jesus forgave us for our multitude of sins, we must become God-like and accept that all humans are broken and imperfect, we must have the understanding that everyone has their faults and flaws…

When we don’t forgive others, we are setting ourselves outside and above Christ’s law of love…

Anyone that has hurt, betrayed or done you wrong…. Forgive them today. Not just verbally, but from the heart. Pray and ask God for help with understanding forgiveness, pray and ask for healing, ask for transformation and courage. This is not something that will just happen overnight… But by asking for help from our Lord, he will touch your heart…

Prayer for you:

“Lord, you know my pain, you know my struggles. I understand the importance of forgiveness and i thank you for your grace by which i am forgiven… It is hard to forgive as my wounds are so deep and painful… I ask for your healing power, ask for your help with transforming my heart and mind… Help me to forgive those who have wronged me… All praises onto you Heavenly Father…. Amen”

Spirit…. Soul…. Flesh…

Circle Spirit, Soul and Body
Theres been something on my heart that I learnt in Sunday School a couple weeks ago and I feel like sharing…

You are made of 3 elements… You are a Spirit, that owns a Soul, inside a body. You will always be fighting 2 against 1, either Soul & Body vs Spirit, or Spirit & Soul vs Body… Your Spirit must ALWAYS win as the Spirit is eternal. Feed your Spirit with the word, water it, keep it strong. Do not live a defeated life by not spending enough time with our Heavenly Father. How do you live Holy and feed your Spirit in a world of Ungodliness??? By prayer, fasting, and living by HIS word…

Be mindful of what you watch, read and hear, negative/derogative TV, Magazines and Music all affects your Spirit… EVERYTHING you watch or hear feeds your Spirit, ensure it is healthy, it is positive, and most of all OF GOD… As David once said ‘I will set before my eyes no vile thing’…

Say a prayer this week:

Father God,
My spirit feels hungry. I confess that what I have been feeding my spirit has simply been junk food. I long for Your filling. Show me treasures in Your Word as I make time for You this week. Fill me up, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and help me not to settle for less.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Just some scriptures:-
